DEBBIE CARTER

Debbie moved into her first apartment in 1982 at 21 years old. That little garage apartment represented everything that a first apartment should - independence, adulthood, making her mark, and being her own boss by living on her own terms.

A times she was quiet, and she absolutely hated to be embarrassed. She worked hard at three jobs and was the first to tell you how she really felt or to put you in your place. Her friends lovingly described her as "mouthy".

No one would know, that the life that Debbie had waited a lifetime for, would only last 60 days.

Her lifeless, naked body was discovered the morning of December 8th, 1982 in the very apartment that brought her so much happiness.
